At D2 we have a highly trained team of early years educators. Having a highly skilled team is essential to providing quality early years care and education.
Our teachers range in qulifcations, from FETAC Level 5's in Early Childhood Education and Care right up to Level 9 Masters in Early Years Education. At D2, we have several staff members who hold primary degrees in fields such as Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology and Special Needs Assisting. This ensures a pool of knowledge, skills and experience witin our team.
All our teachers have paediatric first aid training. This ensures that all staff members are equipped to deal with all the little bumps and bangs that are a part of childhood. All staff memebrs also hold HACCP training, fire safety and manual handing.
Continuous proffesional development is very important to our ethos in D2. Staff members are always supported by D2 and encouraged to attend training seminars and contine to progress in their education.
Joyce is the owner of D2 Montessori. Joyce holds a Diploma in Business and Law, having worked in the legal field for a number of years however after the birth of her daughter Robyn, Joyce began to explore the area of childcare and education and was drawn to the specific teaching practices of Maria Montessori. Joyce returned to education and received her Montessori teaching diploma with distinction from Portobello Institute along with her Fetac level 6 qualification. Her aim is to provide high quality education and care and ensuring the individual needs and skills of each child is nurished and supported.
Aisling is the manager in D2 Montessori. She has over 10 years experience working in early years education. She finds working and managing our team of experienced teachers here in D2 Montessori very rewarding. Aisling has worked closely with children of all ages from babies to school aged children, she loves working in the Early Years sector as she enjoys seeing the children grow and learn new things every day. Aisling is a trained Inclusion Coordinator and loves to promote inclusion in D2 Montessori. Aisling is a mum of four children and this is what encouraged her to pursue a career in Early Years Sector.
